of Muhammad book and Muhammad the Last Prophet movie based on
intertextual study by Julia Kristeva. The problem statements of this thesis is; How
is the portrayal of Muhammad presented in Muhammad the Last Prophet movie
and Life of Muhammad book? This research is library one in the form of
description qualitative.
The result of the study shows that in Life of Muhammad book, the author
mentions about the prophet’s life before and after his prophetic life. However, in
Muhammad the Last Prophet movie, the producer only describes about
Muhammad after he has accepted the first revelation. In the other word, this
movie only depicts Prophet Muhammad when he is 40 years old until he is 63
years old.
